Metatron Hunter 4025 For Invasive Pulmonary Aspergillosis Scanner for NLS Diagnosis

Over the past few decades, new medical technologies have developed very rapidly. Significant success has been achieved in the treatment of tumors and neoplastic blood disorders. The development of transplantation has increased the chances of recovery for cancer patients. However, the application of cytostatic and immunosuppressive drugs, which ensure the function of the graft, leads to a severe decrease in immunity and complications in the form of opportunistic infections. In addition, the risk group for the development of infection included neonates with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), complications following abdominal surgical interventions, severe severe burns, and neonates who were premature or received active medical treatment in the first few days of life ( parenteral feeding and heavy antimicrobial therapy). Contributing risk factors for the development of invasive mycoses include intake of broad-spectrum antibiotics for more than two weeks, total parenteral nutrition, continuous artificial lung ventilation, shock, and prior fungal infection.

Invasive pulmonary aspergillosis (IPA) is the most severe form of the disease, when the process may spread to other organs (CNS, parenchymal organs of the abdominal cavity). The first symptom of invasive fungal infection is usually fever, which is refractory to broad-spectrum antibiotics. In clinical manifestations of acute pneumonia in patients expressing immunosuppression, the absence of results from treatment with antimicrobial agents must be considered as a possibility for the development of IPA. When these clinical manifestations are registered, diagnostic procedures must be completed. The speed and intensity of IPA manifestations depend on the degree of immunosuppression. Signs of IPA are evident after granulocytopenia, and sometimes the diagnosis of IPA may be based on biopsy results alone, but the risk of bleeding complications in patients with hemocytosis may be one of the barriers to biopsy.

NLS imaging with the Metatron Hunter 4025 scanner is more informative than radiography for the diagnosis of invasive pulmonary mycosis. 80% diagnostic accuracy

The performance of  Metatron Hunter4025 is really amazing
